Privacy Policy
Effective August 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Launch Circle ("Launch Circle," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Launch Circle mobile application and related service. Launch Circle helps Android developers coordinate closed testing with testers and record testing progress and evidence.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use Launch Circle, we may collect and store:
- Account and identity information: information provided through Google Sign-In, such as your Google account identifier, email address, and display name, as well as profile details you choose to provide.
- Developer and app information: app names, package names, testing opt-in links, Google Group or tester-list setup information, app changes, and other information developers submit about their apps.
- Testing and participation information: tester assignments, opt-in and installation progress, participation dates, mission schedules and completion status, missed missions, and testing completion status.
- Mission results and feedback: test results, launch and feature checks, ratings, issue descriptions, feedback, and suggestions submitted by testers.
- Invite activity: invite codes, invited email addresses when provided, the inviter, whether an invite was accepted or cancelled, and related timestamps.
- Reliability and testing status: reliability scores, tester health indicators, recent activity, overdue mission counts, app readiness, and related testing status.
- Technical and service information: authentication tokens, device registration information, event records, timestamps, and diagnostic information needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
How information is used
We use this information to:
- authenticate accounts and provide the Launch Circle service;
- match developers and testers and coordinate closed tests;
- track participation, mission progress, reliability, and testing readiness;
- deliver tester feedback and testing summaries to the relevant app developer;
- manage invitations and tester onboarding;
- maintain security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and improve reliability; and
- respond to support, privacy, and deletion requests.
Backend processing and sharing
Information entered in the app is sent over the internet to the Launch Circle FastAPI backend, where it is processed and stored to provide the service. Relevant testing progress, mission results, feedback, reliability information, and tester details may be shown to the developer whose app is being tested and to participants as needed to coordinate that test. A tester email address is shared for testing or Google Group coordination only when the tester provides it and consents to that sharing.
We may use service providers that host or support Launch Circle and disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users, prevent fraud or abuse, or secure the service. We do not sell personal information. We do not use personal information for advertising or serve third-party advertising.
Google services
Google Sign-In is used as an identity provider. Your use of Google services remains subject to Google terms and privacy practices. Google Play and Google are not affiliated with, sponsors of, or responsible for Launch Circle. Launch Circle does not guarantee approval for production access on Google Play.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including secure network transport and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Launch Circle, maintain testing records and service integrity, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods may vary based on the type of information and why it is held. We may retain limited records where required by law or for legitimate security, fraud-prevention, backup, or audit purposes.
Your choices and deletion requests
You may stop using Launch Circle at any time. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account and associated personal information, email cliu@tradewind.aero from the email address associated with your account. Please state that the request concerns Launch Circle and describe what you want deleted. We may ask you to verify your identity. We will process reasonable requests within a reasonable time, subject to information we must retain for legal, security, backup, or service-integrity reasons.
Account and Data Deletion
Authenticated users can permanently delete their Launch Circle account from Account / Settings in the Android app by choosing Delete account and confirming the deletion. Instructions and an email fallback are available at the Launch Circle account deletion page.
Account deletion removes the profile and identity information stored by Launch Circle, submitted app records and their dependent Launch Circle testing data, tester participation and mission progress, test results and feedback, invite activity involving the account, reliability and tester-health status, and related Launch Circle event history. It does not delete a Google account, Google Play developer account, apps on Google Play, or Google Group membership. We do not retain deleted account data in the active service; limited copies may remain temporarily in backups or where retention is required for security or legal obligations, as described under Data retention.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Launch Circle changes. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the effective date. Continued use of Launch Circle after an update means the revised policy applies to future use.
