Who this app is for
Daycare Sleep Check Log is intended for adult childcare professionals who maintain local facility, room, staff, child, sleep-check, correction, and playground safety records.
What the app does
The app provides local tools for facility and jurisdiction setup, active sleep sessions, user-selected check intervals, whole-room direct visual check confirmation, exception observations, inspector history, PDF export, manual backup and restore, and a daily playground safety checklist.
Information stored
Child names, staff names, room and facility details, sleep session details, observation notes, timestamps, correction audit entries, and checklist entries are stored locally in the app’s private storage on the user’s device.
Childcare records remain stored locally in the app’s private storage. The developer does not receive childcare records and does not operate a backend for childcare records. The app has no account, no login, no advertising, and no analytics.
One-time Pro purchase
Daycare Pro is an optional one-time, non-consumable purchase processed by Google Play. Payment-card and other payment information are handled directly by Google Play and are not received by this app or the developer. The app may read purchase status and entitlement information from Google Play to determine whether Daycare Pro is owned and restore access. The developer does not operate a backend for purchases or childcare records.
Backups and exports
Backup and PDF export are manual user actions through Android’s file picker. A copy may be written to the destination selected by the user, including storage or a provider made available by the device. The app does not choose or upload a destination automatically.
Automatic Android cloud backup is disabled. The app does not claim application-level encryption for its local database or exported files. Users are responsible for protecting device access and any exported copies.
Notifications and reminders
Notification permission is used only for user-configured sleep-check reminders. A reminder tells staff that a whole-room check is due; it never completes or marks a check complete. Alarm or scheduling capability is used only for those user-configured reminders.
Precise alarm access is optional. If it is unavailable or refused, the app uses an inexact local reminder fallback. If notification permission is refused, reminder notifications cannot appear until permission is enabled.
No medical or compliance guarantee
The app does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment. It does not replace direct visual supervision. It does not guarantee regulatory compliance. Each facility remains responsible for the laws, regulations, policies, procedures, staffing, supervision, and records applicable to its operations.
Sharing and network access
The app connects to Google Play Billing only to display the optional Pro product, start the purchase flow provided by Google Play, and read purchase entitlement status for restoration. The app does not access payment-card information. The developer does not receive childcare records or payment-card information and does not operate a backend for them. A user-controlled export or backup can create a copy outside the app, and the privacy practices of the selected destination then apply.
Data choices
You control the records entered into the app and whether to create an export or backup. You can remove local app data using Android’s app settings or by uninstalling the app, subject to Android behavior. Copies exported elsewhere must be removed from those destinations separately.
